Combines cyclonic separation and filtration in a single unit to recover the fine powder leaving the drying chamber. Higher yield, lower stack emissions and CIP cleaning without removing the bags.
In a spray drying plant, the fine powder that goes up the stack is lost finished product, and precisely the most valuable. In addition, environmental requirements increasingly limit dust emissions.
The cyclonic bag filter combines cyclonic separation and filtration in a single unit. Instead of one or two primary cyclones followed by a bag filter, a single filter is installed, with less investment in equipment, ducting and civil works.
With a CIP washing system and suitable bags, the filter is cleaned without removing the bags, a common problem with traditional filters. It is suitable for the food and chemical industries.
Recovers the fines that would be lost up the stack.
Helps meet environmental requirements.
Cleaning in place, without removing the bags.
It is a very common case in milk powder plants that have started drying whey: milk separates well in the cyclones, but whey, with a finer particle size, is lost up the stack. The powder that settles around the plant attracts insects and generates odours, something very negative in a hygiene audit. The filter can be added without difficulty to an existing installation that only has cyclones.
